The Republic of Botswana is a landlocked country located in southern Africa. It was formerly the British protectorate of Bechuanaland, and became independent within the Commonwealth on September 20, 1966.
The Botswana Air Force purchased ten upgranded CF-5As and three CF-5Ds from Canada in 1996. A further two CF-5Ds were purchased in 2000
